Advice and Support Available at Havering College

Student Services can offer advice and support on the subject of sexual health. This can be done via class tutorials or one to one support tailored to the needs of the student. Classroom tutorials include the following topics:

  • Relationships ~ sexual & romantic

  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

  • Female Contraception

  • Testicular Cancer Awareness (aimed at groups of male students)

Your Progress Coach can book any of the above tutorials at specific times of the year via Student Services on your campus.

For one to one advice and guidance about sexual health please speak to a Student Development Worker/ Youth Worker in Student Services on your campus.

We also work with sexual health organisations outside of the College, so information can be given regarding outside services available to students.

Sexual health information and services available from Student Services are the 'C' Card (free condom distribution scheme for students aged up to 25) plus details of contraception and sexual health clinics in Havering.
