What does the Students' Union do?
During the academic year the Students' Union aim is to be the Voice of the students within the College by representing them at various meetings and acting on their views and concerns.
The Union has a close relationship with the National Union of Students (NUS) and they work with them to campaign for students rights in the UK and internationally. Havering College Students' Union also promotes the general welfare of students, to ensure they feel safe within the College and enjoy their learning experience.
Throughout the year, the Union organises and encourages recreational and social activities for students, which includes awards ceremonies and end of year events. The Students‘ Union has their own budget which they use to fund activities and trips for all students at the College.
