- Students and staff may borrow from thousands of electronic books held in the databases we currently use. These are accessible via your ATHENS account Resources list. eBooks are available 24/7 and lots of people can read the same title at once.
- The LRC also owns ebooks which can be searched for via the catalogue (iPAC) under eBook. There are several 'How to...' guides which may be useful:
- Free eBooks are also available via Project Gutenberg (out of copyright classic texts) and Google Books (beware, not all Google Books are available in full text).
NB. If an eBook rental request is made in the evening, on a Bank Holiday or over a weekend (i.e. out of office hours), it will not be dealt with until the next working day.
If an eBook rental price exceeds the cost set in LRC guidance documentation, it may be rejected, in which case the Librarian will always endeavour to offer alternative suitable resources.
