Student Services Careers Hub is a one-stop area for students providing a range of support and information on careers, employment and progression to university or apprenticeships. Careers Hub staff are members of the Career Development Institute and are supported by careers advisers from Prospects Ltd (formerly Connexions).

Use online careers programmes to explore careers and jobs to help you decide where you want to be. E-clips is an online careers information programme. Search for careers by A-Z for information on entry requirements, what the job involves and labour market information regarding that career. If you are unsure of which career to pursue, take the careers wizard test. There is also lots of information on housing, health and lifestyle choices for young people.
Careersbox is a free online library of careers related film, news and information. As the preferred digital new media partner to the Institute of Career Guidance, the largest careers body in the UK, Careersbox aim is to deliver the right information at the right time to careers advisers and job seekers.
Apprenticeships are a great way to earn money while gaining a qualification. Search for apprenticeships on the National Apprenticeship website and filter your search by job and area.
To apply for apprenticeships you will need to register your details. Register under New User and set up an account. Make a note of your username and password as you will need these every time you log onto the site.
Once you have found a vacancy, complete the application form online. You can save applications online and come back to them at a later date but make sure you submit your application by the closing date.
